Redan Monzer

Redan Monzer

Redan Monzer is a Syrian sculptor born in Suwayda in 1986. His contemporary sculptural practice is distinguished by a personal visual language through which he explores the expressive possibilities of form, movement, and material.

Working across a range of materials, including basalt, marble, metal, and modern sculptural media, Monzer approaches sculpture as a means of giving physical form to emotion, character, and lived experience. His works reflect an interest in the impressions that emerge from different human situations, expressed through distinctive forms and gestures.

Monzer's artistic vocabulary also extends to the representation of animals, which he reinterprets through expressive movements and human-like qualities. This approach allows him to explore the relationship between the human and natural worlds while developing a recognizable character across his sculptures.

He has participated in group exhibitions and sculpture workshops in Syria and abroad. His works include sculptural pieces held at Moussa Castle in Lebanon, as well as a collaborative work in Qaboun Park in Damascus.

Through his ongoing exploration of materials and expressive form, Monzer contributes to the development of contemporary Syrian sculpture, creating works that combine experimentation with an individual artistic identity.
